Our Schurr High School counseling department has embraced a shared leadership approach in developing a results-based, comprehensive guidance program that reaches out to all students in grades 9-12. Our main objective is to ensure that all students have access to support for academic, career, and personal/social development. We are following the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) National Model, which includes a guide to the following systemic areas: foundation, management system, delivery system and accountability. All of our school counselors are providing services in individual planning, responsive services, guidance curriculum and system support.

ROP/Adult School Course Information
ROP classes are available at the beginning of each semester for students 16+. These classes give students the opportunity to engage in career oriented classes that also count for elective credit. Taking ROP classes is one way for students behind credits to catch up. Classes are either 5 or 10 credits each, with both weekend and weekday classes. Students can register for ROP classes at B-7.
Adult school classes are offered after school from 3-5pm and are primarily academic. Students can make up classes they need for graduation by seeing their counselor, who then gives the student the adult school form to take home for parent signature. Students then take form to Adult School and enroll in class.
