Western Association of Schools and Colleges

The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) is one of six official academic bodies responsible for the accreditation of public and private universities, colleges, secondary and elementary schools in the United States and foreign institutions of American origin.

On February 26 to 29, 2012, a team from WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges) will be conducting an accreditation visit at Schurr.  To prepare for the visit, the school community prepares a Self-Study document about where the school is now and where it is going.  The team will analyze the Self Study document, meetings with the school community, and observations of classrooms to answer two questions: How are the students achieving? and Is the school doing everything possible to support high achievement for all its students?  Based on these answers, WASC will determine the school's term of accreditation.
